NovaMed: AI that helps the doctor rather than deciding for them.
A clinical decision support system: multimodal analysis of patient history, lab data and records, probabilistic diagnostic recommendations. Taken to applied use under a safety protocol.
01The task
A doctor makes a decision from scattered sources: history, lab values, free-text notes. The data sits in different formats and an appointment leaves no time to reconcile it.
02What we built
A multimodal AI pipeline that brings those sources together and produces probabilistic recommendations, plus an interface embedded in the doctor's workflow. A recommendation is always shown with its grounds, never as a finished verdict.
03The safety protocol
The domain is sensitive, so the constraints are built into the design: guardrails, model-quality control, transparency of recommendations. The product supports the specialist's decision and does not replace it — a design constraint, not a footer disclaimer.
04IOANN's role
The multimodal AI pipeline and the interface, taken to applied use. Responsibility and regulation remain with the client; our part is making the product traceable and controllable.
Client names, metrics and screenshots are published only with written consent. In sensitive domains the product supports the decision and does not replace a specialist; responsibility and regulation remain with the client.
